Remuneration

The Remuneration Committee is established under section 39(1) of the LELPA. It advises on, and recommends to, the Minister, all matters regarding remuneration of legal practitioners.  It consists of five (5) legal practitioners, two (2) of whom are Senior Counsel. The members are elected by the MLS at the Annual General Meeting.

The members of the Remuneration Committee hold office for a period of two (2) years and may be eligible for re-election for a further two (2) years. The members of the Remuneration Committee are Allan Chinula, SC  (Chairperson), Patrice Nkhono, SC , Chikondi Khondiwa, Pilirani Chuma and Joseph Chimtolo.
