Compliance & Ethics

Compliance and Ethics Department (CED) is responsible for implementing the regulatory objectives of the MLS. It is responsible for processing applications for practicing licences for legal practitioners. It receives complaints against legal practitioners and supports the Disciplinary Committee of the MLS in carrying out its functions under section 91 of the LELPA. Through the CED, the MLS regulates the setting up, management and dissolution of legal practice.
