Strategic Plan

The MLS, as a professional body has a tradition of planning. In 2021, the MLS adopted a 10-year strategic plan which is being implemented from 2021 to 2030. The Strategic Plan summarises the vision strategy for the MLS in the implementation period. The Strategic Plan is a futuristic document and identified matters of pride and challenges, in view of the MLS’s niche. It is a documentation of results of reflections, assessments, analyses and aspirations for the future of the MLS. Through the Strategic Plan, the MLS hopes to effectively lead female and male legal practitioners in Malawi to deliver credible services and advance the rule of law with highest professional standards.

The implementation of the vision strategy of the Strategic Plan is divided into 5 categories. The years 2021 and 2022 were designated years of reform and delivery. Years 2023 and 2024 were designated years of delivery and concerted implementation. The years 2025 and 2026 were designated years of specialised delivery. Years of 2027 and 2028 were designated years of expanded implementation and the years 2029 and 2030 were designated years of consolidation of results.
