Call for Papers for the 2025 Annual Conference of the Malawi Law Society
The Malawi Law Society will hold its Annual Conference and General Meeting from 27th to 30th March, 2025 at Sunbird Nkopola Lodge in Mangochi under the theme Maintaining Professionalism in Times of Socio-Political Divergence and Constant Public Criticism.
The Malawi Law Society is calling for papers from scholars, legal practitioners, academics, researchers and social commentators to answer one central question, “how can the legal profession maintain its independence and professionalism to ensure that the rule of law and democracy serve the greater public good?”. The Society welcomes quality proposals on any topic in line with any sub-theme explained below or simply in line with the main theme of the conference: Maintaining Professionalism in Times of Political Divergence and Constant Public Criticism
Abstracts of between 300 to 500 words should be submitted to director@malawilawsociety.net AND copied to ngundechrispin@gmail.com and echilemba137@gmail.com. Those interested should submit their abstracts by 16th December 2024. Successful authors will be informed by 23rd December 2024 to develop full papers due on or before 7th February 2025. Only those papers will be ready and completed by 7th February 2025. The call concept note can be downloaded below.
